Very interesting recipe. I also learned something new - I had no idea that black olives are altered to be black.

Thanks, everyone for all your wonderful and encouraging comments. Below, I've tried to respond to everyone individually. Sorry it has taken so long- I've been trying to update this blog as well as start a new website, which should hopefully be out by summer, insha'allah!!

1. Ovenhaven- I'm sorry to hear that it would be difficult for you to get this oil in Singapore. Perhaps you could use a very basic, light and flavorless oil and add lemon or orange oil or extract to it to get a similar effect. Thanks for visiting my site

2. Bushra- have you tried making the brownies yet? I bet you can get some great flavored oils down in Florida!

3. Lubna- Wa'alaikum as salaam! Thanks so much for visiting from the Foodie Blogroll. I was worried about the blog name, but since you've mentioned that you like it, I feel much better!

4. Spiceaholic- Thanks for visiting. Your name sounds so interesting I can’t wait to visit your blog since I love spices! See you there!

5. Shelly, thank you also for visiting. Hope to see more of you on the Foodie Blogroll.

6. FJK- I can't take credit for the olive pictures. All credit for that goes to Stephanie Berghaeuser who, fortunately for me, allows us to use it royalty free from a site I belong to (http://www.sxc.hu/home). Thanks for visiting!

7. Lei- can't believe you held out for 3 days. What willpower you have, girl!

8. Nazarina- wa'alaikum as salaam! So nice to meet you and to feel all your enthusiasm in your comments! If you ever visit the olive mill in Arizona, you must tell!

9. Rob- thanks so much for the comment, which I don't take lightly. I hope you'll visit the site again soon!

10. Inci- as always, your comments are an inspiration to me to keep on going. I think the brownies would do well by mail. Next time, I'll have to ship some over to you and the kids, who I know will all gather round with milk and remember the good old days w/all of us together on Country Lane.... Love you lots and miss you!
